Of Egyptians and Uniforms

Egyptians wore no uniform
Because their script 'aint cuneiform

Egytians wrote in heiroglymphs
Because they had no pretty nymphs

Poor chaps starved of beautiful femmes
Sat and gnawed at uniform hems

Until one awfully smart fox
Had a thought, 'twas out of the box

Note: Nonsense inspired by  Ogden Nash. I tried rather unsuccessfully to employ the iambic quadrameter.
